Is second life really that useful for meeting up with like minded writers or has it dwindled in its usefulness in the past few years?

I always kinda saw it as a bit of a gimmick.

LOL, Tidd! Would you believe me if I said I have a Second Life time-travel machine???!!

Actually, I snuck in to the Writers’ Circle today because I wanted a better photo than the one I had, so you must have read the post just after I uploaded it!!!

Anyway, thanks for the comment. I love your phrase about some “shiveringly good and accomplished writing” — I totally agree!

I would like to endorse everything said about the Written Word group – it really is a supportive circle of friendly and enthusiastic people, and I have heard some shiveringly good and accomplished writing at the Wednesday evening meetings. If there are any Second Life residents reading this who are writers but haven’t heard of this amazing resource … do come along!

(One puzzling thing though, the picture above appears to be of the very meeting I have just left – how is that possible ?)
